We are focusing North India. Our strategy for North India has two approaches. First, win children for Christ. We have a dedicated team for that called ‘Bal Jeevan Initiative’. Children’s work is an essential thrust. It is known that 85% of all Christians come to Christ before they are 14 years old. According to statistics report, the population in India, which gives almost 40%, is children below fourteen years of age. This shows the important need for reaching children in India.
Reaching children with the gospel is extremely effective. We have 800 children in two free schools. We give Bible teaching along with their secular education and we invite all students and their parents once in a week. Most parents are open to their children being involved in such Bible classes. Children here may have only one parent or no parent or may be abandoned or may be given up by parents who do not want them due to poverty. We take them in, love them, educate them and raise them up with dignity. We request your sincere prayers and welcome you to visit our schools.
Bal Jeevan Initiative is distributing OCC gift packets to underprivileged children this year too. We try to bring hope and life to these unfortunate little ones by showing the love of Jesus. This year we aim to distribute 1000 gift packets. This is a free of cost gift packets donated by GMI, but we have to bear the logistic expenses, which comes roughly Rs.15/-per packet. Be a partner in this venture and stretch out your blessed hands in this noble task.
